Hair transplant - bald in some areas. Is this normal?

Doc , I got my HT almost 3weeks back, my scalp on transplanted area looks bald in some portion and dots in some portion... Is this normal?? Or HT has wrong?? I'm really worried.. Does that area go bald before hair starts growing???

Hair transplant surgery can look WORSE before it gets better.In general, transplanted hairs fall out weeks after surgery. In general, transplanted hairs start to grow for you to see results in 6 to 12 months. What you describe is not out of the ordinary.  If you believe something is wrong, call your doctor for a recheck.

After your hair transplant procedure,  it usually takes about four months to see the
signs of new growth. Assuming that the grafts were carefully selected and
handled, further improvements will manifest until about the eighteenth month
following your surgery.

During the initial four months, patients should not feel
terribly worried about how their scalp appears. In fact, hair shafts will shed.
And bald areas may develop as a result. This is actually a good sign. It
indicates that new hair is being produced as the old shafts are falling away.

Again,
it will take some time to see improvements. Concerns about the development of
results can be discussed with a doctor around month twelve, and certainly by
month eighteen, if the expected growth is not indicated around these time
frames.

You are probably experiencing the normal telogen effluvium or stress hair loss after your transplant procedure.  The permanent hairs may not be visible for 3-6 months after the procedure.  Patience is paramount.

Now you are seeing at 3 weeks some areas that do not have coverage. Crusts fall of with the hairs by 3 weeks, not you have to wait it all out for 5-6 months to see what grows,
