Answer: Baldness After a Hair Transplant After your hair transplant procedure, it usually takes about four months to see the signs of new growth. Assuming that the grafts were carefully selected and handled, further improvements will manifest until about the eighteenth month following your surgery. During the initial four months, patients should not feel terribly worried about how their scalp appears. In fact, hair shafts will shed. And bald areas may develop as a result. This is actually a good sign. It indicates that new hair is being produced as the old shafts are falling away. Again, it will take some time to see improvements. Concerns about the development of results can be discussed with a doctor around month twelve, and certainly by month eighteen, if the expected growth is not indicated around these time frames.
