I've been using 1.0mm dermaroller to treat my scars from accutane for a few months. I roll every 10 to 14 days. 7~10 days after a roll, my skin starts to peel, some of them fall off naturally, the rest stay on my face. I want to ask that does washing my face carefully to force those scabs to fall off make my skin worse? Because i do that everytime before i dermaroll and i think it makes my skin worse than it should if i give them time to fall off naturally

Thanks for your question.  We never recommend dermarollers because it causes unnecessary dermal trauma.  Microneedling, especially with PRP is better because the needles travel perpendicularly to the skin surface.  If you think about the rollers, they go in at an angle, straighten up and come out in the opposite direction.  You end up with long slits instead of tiny pinpoints.  It is illegal to sell medical devices to the public.  These home use devices are dumbed down to not be medical grade (or effective).  Best of luck

Rollers more than 1 mm can cause damage, stick to a 0.25 mm roller and look after your skin 3-4 times a day. With 0.25, you will heal in 2-4 days. Stay SAFE. Dr Davin Lim. BRISBANE, Australia.
