Micro-tears from Derma Roller: I did at home dermarolling in April.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Dermarollers can be extremely effective if done by an experienced operator. They can cause more harm then good though if the person doing it is inexperienced. I would recommend that you see a fully qualified practitioner for a face to face consultation.  The skin laxity you describe sounds like it it volume loss to the face. A face to face review will establish what the cause of this is and how it can be treated. 

Thanks for your question.  We never recommend dermarollers because it causes unnecessary dermal trauma.  Microneedling, especially with PRP is better because the needles travel perpendicularly to the skin surface.  If you think about the rollers, they go in at an angle, straighten up and come out in the opposite direction.  You end up with long slits instead of tiny pinpoints.  It is illegal to sell medical devices to the public.  These home use devices are dumbed down to not be medical grade (or effective).  Best of luck
