I asked my question 2 days before but without supmiting photos .. i used 20 mg once per day for 3 months my wt 48 kg and my face was clear for 2 yrs now acne came again not too much but this one on the right cheek was very big and discharging pus so i am very disappointed from this now it dried and approximately healed .. please help me do i need another course of accutaine? and if the answer is yes for how long? and the breakout could be as severe as in the first course or less severe?Thanks

I think you should have been on Accutane for at least 20 weeks to get the maximum benefit.  You were also on a very low dose, and maximum efficacy of Accutane is 20 weeks of 0.5 - 1 mg/kg per day.

3 months of Accutane at 20mg daily is only 1800mg total. Usually a typical regimen is between 8000-16000mg total. So, quite simply, I don't think you got enough the first time around for a long-term cure. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and
