Unusual full-face Lumecca experience? Majority never darkened, should I try another round?

I had full-face Lumecca. The majority never darkened, including freckles/spots. No one could tell I'd had anything done, even when I pointed it out. My skin was never dry - makeup applied normally and looked normal. Rather than feeling "like being snapped by a rubber band," I felt like there was a circle of warmth with the painful sensation of being burned by the hot metal of a lighter in the upper right corner of the circle. What went wrong? Should I try another round? Thank you.
