Thanks for your question. The photos don't allow a full opinion on this, but if you are looking to straighten the profile then this can be done with fillers, sometimes completely and sometimes just for some improvement. Straightening the nose as seen from the front can be much more difficult to achieve. On your photo looking from your left side there is a little unevenness in the profile, mainly towards the tip of the nose and I believe it is likely that this could be improved.Nose treatments require experience and good technique so be sure to consult someone suitably experienced.
Hi SethMonteverde,As you probably know, Liquid Nose Jobs are now the rage because results approach that of traditional rhinoplasty without the downtime and at a fraction of the cost. Some clients even try it "for size" to see if it looks good on them before committing to something more permanent with surgery. And the beauty of it is that the fillers we use are made of hyaluronic acid, which is something that we naturally produce in our body.Typically, the procedure takes less than an hour and fillers like Voluma or Restylane can last about 1.5 -2 years before it dissolves. Just like Botox, you can have it over lunch and return to normal activities with minimal swelling, bruising or redness after the procedure - a far cry from the 6 months it takes to recover from rhinoplasty! Most procedures use up one vial and can correct bumps and contours making the nose more balanced and proportional to the face. Oftentimes, its amazing to see how the nose can look visually slimmer, straighter, smaller and more patrician-looking, when volume was actually added! The tip which usually goes south and rounded as we age can also be "lifted" and made sharper. However, it may not be for everyone (e.g. nose extremely fleshy, bumps too huge) but a straighter nose can be achieved under skillful hands. In fact, though temporary fillers are preferred, some clients go for permanent fillers after achieving good results with their first liquid nose job!All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
