The best thing is to do is to wait to see if you will heal back to normal skin tone. This kind of healing can take 8-12 weeks. Be patient and do not try to treat too soon. Scar tissue can start to form when if treated too soon in between any kind of treatments.

I am not a big fan of techniques other than lasers for tattoo removal because the laser is more controlled and predictable.I would wait for this area to settle  down before starting anything.
