Can this finger tattoo be removed through a surgical excision? (Photo)

I am starting the process of enlisting in the USAF but having this tattoo is delaying that process a bit. I had one session of laser removal but I have decided it’s going to take much longer than I would like, so I am looking to get it it surgically removed. I am having trouble finding someone who has experience performing this procedure. I would prefer to find one in Orange County or Los Angeles area.

I don't recommend excision for this. This can be removed with laser tattoo removal. Tattoos should be removed with q switched or pico lasers. Using a PFD patch in tandem with a laser will get you more removal quickly as compared to tattoo removal without it. It will take a series of treatments. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a laser tattoo removal expert.

There is not enough skin to allow for closure after excision, so it's not possible. If you use high energy Pico/Nano tattoo lasers such as the Piqo4 or Pico Plus, you will get clearance faster. Also, use the R0 protocol so more passes can be performed. Recent study show using the Zimmer Z Wave makes treatments more effective. Adding a fractional laser can help as well. Allow 6-8 weeks between treatments at least.
