Would a lower eyelid lift help deep nasolabial folds? (Photos)

Hello, I have a huge problem with my nasolabial folds. Despite a deep plane facelift, nothing has changed for me. The wrinkles start on my nose and that's what bothers me the most. Would a lower eyelid lift help? If I hold my lower eyelid up, the wrinkle disappears. many thanks for your help

A cheek lift can be accomplished via a Lower Blepharoplasty incision, which can improve the nasolabial fold. A canthopexy is necessary to prevent a lower eyelid malposition ectropion. Seek an experienced surgeon and inquire about this specific procedure.

This kind of problem, as well as its quite easy solution, is absolutely not new. I have been writing about this for years already. Volume deficit in the upper outer cheeks is largely responsible for the prominence of the nasolabial folds (smile lines below). This is the reason that you see such significant improvement by simply holding your upper outer cheek area. The use of a robust HA lifting filler injected properly for the upper, outer cheeks would very likely give you the desired improvement. Theoretically yes, it could help, but the lower lid allone can not successfully cope with the problem of "heavy cheeks", so that some unpleasant complications can happen afterwards (e.g. ectropium).To find a proper solution a personal consultation in the office is necessary.Best regardsDr. Tribull, Berlin, Germany
