Answer: Should I stop taking contrave before BBL & can I take the following vitamins/medicines while on it? Hello @Flumoon, thank you for your question. Pre operative care is dependent on a variety of factors including the surgical technique used and state of health of the patient, that is why it is really important to follow your surgeon's instructions and discuss this concern. Accordingly, for my patients, I always recommend stopping taking medications that slow coagulation times, and taking natural supplements like Vitamin E, Curcuma, Ginko Biloba, Garlic, Omega 3, Ginger, and Vitamin E. I hope this helps. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. American Society of Plastic Surgery Member (ASPS), International Federation for Adipose Therapeutics and Science Member (IFATS), American Society of Plastic Surgery Member (ASPS), Colombian Society of Plastic Surgery member (SCCP).

Answer: Medications before BBL Before making any decisions about stopping or continuing medications, especially if you're planning a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), it's crucial to consult with your healthcare provider. Contrave is a prescription medication that combines bupropion and naltrexone for weight management. Discussing this with your doctor is necessary if you're considering discontinuing Contrave before your BBL as they can assess whether it's safe to continue medications including vitamins or other supplements, before and after your BBL. It's worth noting that certain medications and supplements may interfere with the healing process or increase the risk of complications during surgery.
