Last year I had a Botox brow lift, 8 units were injected for each brow. A week later my left eyelid started to droop. At the time the injector said we would need to counteract it by injecting more Botox. I wanted to use dysport since dysport works quicker than Botox but was told we cannot counteract with dysport. It took a week and went back to normal. I am no longer going to this clinic. I was wondering if I can get an opinion on what are all the options I have if I get a droopy eye

Answer: Bad botox injections So there's something to keep in mind when getting botox injection and that is that, every procedure has its risk, and usually I state them in the consent form, and affeting muscules that we didn't wanted to affect COULD POSSIBLY happen, but the incidence is low, but still possible. So I would recommend lowering the units at the moment you have them injectaed and ask for a follow up visit two weeks after, in that manner you can control the risk of paralizing other muscular groups on our faces. And another I would correct an already droopy lid with more botox, beacuse it will increase the relaxation in muscules already relaxed

Answer: Botox and droopy eyelid Botox stops the nerves stimulating the muscle. It paralyses the muscle. The nerve endings then have to grow back so it can take several weeks for recovery from unwanted effects. If you get an unwanted effect from Botox you have to wait for the effect to wear off by nerve ending regrowth. There can be some compensation from the functioning muscle so you may find that the droop reverses sooner.I advise you to consult a suitably trained, qualified and experienced practitioner. There are people giving Botox with little understanding of how it works. Equally, qualified and experienced doctors can have complciations like a drooping eyelid. It is generally wise to start with a low dose and build up if the effect is insufficient.Good luck and best wishes.
