Does Sofwave increase the risk of developing skin cancer?

i am considering Sofwave for my forehead/face area. I use Botox 1-2 x per year, I am sensitive to it, cant do much on forehead and dermatologist suggested Sofwave to help with the forehead and jowl (11's) lines..Basal cell skin cancer runs in my family, does this treatment have any concerns for skin cancer risk?

Thanks for your question. There is no mechanism by which Sofwave treatments would increase the risk of skin cancer. Microfocused ultrasound has been used on the skin since at least the early 2000's when Ultherapy was being studied (it got FDA approved in 2009). Sofwave was released in Israel in 2017 and in the US in 2019. No deleterious effects on the skin of this type have ever been reported.
