Neck bands after using collagen supplements - tried Sculptra, Retinol and Thermage. Options? (Photos)

Three years ago, I asked this question and I was able to actually get a lot of results on my own without having to go to some kind of surgical procedure. I'm very happy with the results. I really don't feel like sculptra did anything but retinol and thermage did. I have been thinking about getting some filler for some of the smaller neck lines that are still there.

Hi MsOliva, thank you for coming back with an update, and I am genuinely pleased you are happy with the progress you have made without surgery. That is exactly the right order to do things in.

On filler for the remaining horizontal neck lines, I would encourage a little caution. Neck skin is much thinner than facial skin, and filler placed into fine horizontal creases can sit visibly or feel lumpy, particularly when the neck moves and folds through the day. When it works it is a subtle improvement, not an erasing of the line. In my own consulting room I more often steer patients with residual fine lines towards continuing what is already working for them: skin quality treatments, sun protection and retinoid-based care, sometimes with a skin-focused energy treatment as you have already tried.

If you do explore filler, choose an experienced medical injector, ask specifically about their approach to neck lines rather than lips or cheeks, and have them examine you in person first. From a photograph alone nobody can tell you whether your lines are the type that respond well. A brief in-person assessment would give you a much more honest answer.
