I’m a cancer survivor, but huge ovarian cysts stretched out my abdomen and two laparotomy’s and a hernia repair have left my abdomen disfigured and painful, especially around the belly button. I also have uneven fat accumulation from the vertical scar. I want the vertical scar removed and would like it replaced with a horizontal scar, like a tummy tuck. Would this be covered by insurance due to the cancer causing the disfigurement, just like breast cancer reconstruction?
