Staph infection/other rash: Should antibiotics help, or will it most likely affect my implants?

Hello, I just got implants yesterday, and while the surgery went well and the healing process seems to otherwise be going as expected, my PS did notice a small rash on the back of my left hip before I left, and prescribed me augmentin to start right away - which I did and have been taking it accordingly. He said there is a possibility it could be staph. My question is: should the antibiotics most likely get rid of it before it spreads, or is there a good chance it could infect my implants? :/

Hello, if an infection is caught early it might not infect a person's implants.  This is something that needs to be managed closely by the patient's own surgeon.

Congratulations on your recent surgery.  While the antibiotics are a goodprecaution, I would not be overly concerned that your implants will be involved even if there is a skin staph infection.  Keep a close eye on both the rash and your breasts and follow up closely with your PS if you have any changes.  Best of luck.
