I have natural symmastia and have lost fullness to my breasts after breast feeding, I was wondering if there was any way to get small implants just to restore fullness and also repair the symmastia at the same time to get more defined cleavage? Was hoping for some advice on the best way to do this if it is possible and also if it would be available in the UK? Currently a 34C cup

Answer: Natural Synmastia Good afternoon!Natural synmastia is a condition I run into about once a year, so it is pretty uncommon. My approach is as follows- liposuction a narrow channel directly up the midline to thin the subcutaneous tissue thickness. Then I go in through a nipple incision, lift up the muscle, place Internal Bra sutures along the midline to perform the synmastia repair, and place your implants. This technique has worked well for the 10-12 patients I have operated on!

Answer: Natural symmastia repair Difficult to give you precise advice without in person examination but patients with congenital symmastia you may benefit from liposuction surgery of the pre sternal area. Whether this is a good option for you will depend on the physical examination; the amount of tissue over the sternal area and the quality of the overlying skin elasticity are important considerations.I have also treated a few patients with "congenital symmastia" with a first stage breast augmentation surgery along with liposuctioning; a second stage procedure involving capsulorraphy ( adjustment of the breast implant capsules along the cleavage area) was used to create better definition between the breasts. You may find the attached link helpful to you as you learn more. Best wishes.
