Hello,If your procedure was within the last 10 years the practice will likely have your information somewhere. You may be able to contact the surgeon and ask if the information is in storage or electronic file? If you registered your breast implants with the manufacturer after your procedure, they will have a record. Other than that, the device itself can be identified if removed. All the best
Hello, often surgeons and other physicians will leave their records with a medical record storage service. If the surgeon worked in a hospital or in a group you could call and ask them if this was the case.
Thank you for your question. You should be able to call the facility where your surgery was performed to retrieve this information.Best of luck.
Hello and thank you for your question. If you are able to locate your records that would be the best. Medical records are required to be kept for 7 years. However, if you are unable to do this perhaps you are aware of the manufacturer of your implant (Mentor, Allergan or Sientra) that might be of help. Breast implant registry is not required however some offices will register their patients. If this is the case for you, you may be able to get your requested information. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. I would still reach out to your surgeon's practice, especially if they had partners who are still working as your medical records would still be obtainable. That said if you can not get the information from them, the facility where you had your surgery, or the implant manufacturer would have this information as well.
I appreciate your question. The surgery center or the hospital where you had your operation should be able to assist you. If they are unable, I would recommend that you contact the manufacturer (implant company) directly. They should be able to look up that information for you.The best way to assess and givetrue advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certifiedplastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery.Best of luck!Dr. Schwartz
Hi Ellen. When a surgeon retires someone becomes the custodian of those medical records so finding out who "inherited" your previous surgeon's practice might shed light on where your implant records might be now. Another option would be to contact the surgery center or hospital where the surgery was done and they should have kept a copy of your implant info in their records and that might be available. Best wishes always, Dr. Aldo
Your medical records have to be kept for 7 years, and your doctor or his partners should have them. You can also contact the implant company. They may have it as well.
The first place to start is your plastic surgeon's office in case they still have your medical records. If not, then try the surgery center where you had the breast augmentation. They should have access to the records. Good luck.
Great question. The surgery center or hospital should have copies of your medical records. If you are aware of the brand of implant you received they can also look up your information. Cheers and best wishes!Steven Camp MD#HappyCamperMD
Hello, I would suggest contacting your surgeon before doing any breast piercing since they know the exact placement of your implant and your stage of healing.
Hello, Thank you for your question. After three weeks, most women should be able to do light cardio and lower body workouts. It is important that the activity you choose, does not shake your implants or cause you to flex your pectoral muscles. At this stage, scar tissue is still forming around ...
Hello,I recommend that you seek a board certified Plastic Surgeon who specialises in reconstructive breast augmentation or who has experience with this particular correction. There could be a variety of options to get you closer to your aesthetic goals. All the best
