What is the different between SkinPen vs Eclipse Micro-needling? and with PRP or without PRP

I am looking micro-needling to remove my bad ACNE scarring. I also would like to know why some doctors suggest PRP with Micro-needling, some doctors will suggest just apply topical gel on the face and let your own cells regrowth will take care of the process. Any thoughts ?

Thank you for the question. Microneedling works best with platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
To rejuvenate your skin, help with hair loss, and improve the results of laser procedures, we can inject you with plasma from your own blood. We draw some of your blood and process it to isolate the PRP.  PRP contains concentrated growth factors; ingredients that stimulate skin and hair growth. This augments and enhances the microneedling process.  The entire procedure can be performed in less than an hour.  Normally a series of 3 treatments is recommended for best results. 
I find that the Eclipse PRP system with the Micropen Elite achieves best results.  
As always, an in-person consultation with a board certified dermatologist with cosmetic training is the best way to assess your needs and provide medical advice.

Each Doctor will have their preferred microneedling device. With microneedling, I prefer Intensif because the needles are non-insulated and gives more robust results. When treating acne scars, I always combine with prp, subcision, Cosmelan and lasers to get the best outcome. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
