Is your leg warm to touch? Cellulitis, a type of skin infection, is one possibility. This is a serious condition which may progress to blood poisoning if left untreated (i.v. antibiotics). I highly recommend that you seek an evaluation by your surgeon and or primary care doctor immediately.

Redness, tenderness and heat are common signs of infection. All are present here. See your surgeon or a local physician promptly to see if you need to start antibiotic therapy.

I would recommend that you get ahold of your surgeon or a staff member promptly.  It appears that you have a slight skin infection.  If your surgeon is unavailable I would see a local physician  for a prompt evaluation

From the pictures you sent and without the benefit of a physical exam I would advise you to contact your surgeon to rule out the possibility of cellulitis and the need for antibiotics. The problem is in only one side and quite swollen and red so definitively call your surgeon. 

This looks like an infection and you should start antibiotics ASAP. I recommend immediate in person examination by a physician for further evaluation and treatment. Good luck!

You appear to be demonstrating most of the cardinal signs of infection...one also looks for fever or drainage. I would strongly recommend evaluation as soon as possible by a plastic surgeon if available, or, in an emergency room setting if necessary. Notify your surgeon of your difficulties. This phenomenon usually resolves with antibiotic administration.

you need to see your surgeon or if that is impossible see a local plastic surgeon. I would start you on antibiotics. it is not uncommon to have some firmness in the areas treated, but not that much redness and warmth. it should respond promptly to antibiotics. i don't believe there is any value in hyperbaric oxygen as suggested below. there is also no proof that doing anything other than gentle massage yourself, is necessary. of course, if you want to get lymphatic massage, that is fine.david berman md
