I recently had an unfortunate thing happen - I trusted a cosmetic dentist to prepare my teeth for minimally invasive veneers, and he removed way too much tooth structure including most of the enamel. I went to see another dentist who recommended adding transparent resin to the remaining tooth structure in order to avoid root canal. My question is, can cosmetic dentists place porcelain veneers over teeth that are bonded with resin? The resin is Surefil by Dentsply in transparent color.
