How can I thin my veneers to look natural without getting new ones? (Photos)

2 years ago I got 10 veneers on my top tooth. I have regretted this so much as my tooth was in good condition and I had a pretty smile. Looking back at some old photos I can now say that I did not need to get this work done. I am really not happy with the end result, I find them extremely thick and unnatural. Please can a doctor advise me on how I can get this fixed without getting new veneers as it will be extremely costly for me to do so.

I would recommend calling your dentist and having them take a look.  It should be fairly easy for them to do some minor recontouring that will make them look smaller and more feminine.  Communicate with your dentist.  That is the key.

We don’t like to adjust or grind on porcelain veneers unless we absolutely need to as they are polished and made of porcelain. Fine and minor tweaks and adjustments are OK, but for what you want (bulk thinning them) will not be feasible or recommended. Veneers are thin already, you start grinding on them to make them thinner will chance cracking them and you’ll make them feel very rough and not smooth. Unfortunately, swaping them out is the only advised and proper way.
