Is it normal to have so many trays? Invisalign

I've been on this sight since yesterday looking through mostly every question and it's really helped me a lot! But while I was looking through the forums I started getting upset seeing everyone with 30 under trays while I am stuck with 76. I feel really sad I couldn't be in their positions right now I am only on my first tray and still counting down the days till I can't get them off my teeth which will be in two years.

Invisalign is light force, safe form of orthodontics and has been a great innovation in dentistry to attain healthier smiles for adults and teenagers.  Every case is different and therefore treatment lengths vary greatly.  I have cases that are treatment planned for 5 aligners and cases, much like yours, that range to 45 aligners.  4 years ago an adjunct was introduced to work in conjuction with Invisalign to speed the process up. Seventy six trays is certainly a lot of trays.  You probably have a pretty severe case.  These often involve moving the back teeth a lot in cases with large number of trays.  Invisalign computer algorithm determines the number of trays for a given movement.  Your doctor might be able to change the desired movement to utilize less trays.
