Can Botox be injected too close to eyebrows?

Botox injection to smooth the 11 lines/glabella typically targets corrugators and procerus muscles which are located right next to the eyebrows. This area typically requires 15-20 Units.

Care is taken not to inject too close to the eyelid area to prevent eyelid drooping.

The muscle that causes the 11's does go out a little bit from in between the eyebrows. The outer portion of the muscle is commonly injected and this is just above the eyebrow. Normally, this injection is done fairly superficial, so that it should not cause the brow to drop or the upper eyelid to develop ptosis. I find injecting this lateral part of the muscle does tend to give better results on the 11's.

Each injector has their own technique in administering Botox. As long as the targeted muscle was injected properly (the depth of the injection) you shouldn't have issues. Always select an experienced injector for treatment. Ask to look at before/after photos and ask for clarification of any questions.
