I was reading about a laser skin lightening procedure that permanently destroys the melanin producing layer of the skin, as an alternative to hydroquinone creams. Sounds great, but i cannot find more info on results/ before-after photos. I am wondering how the degree of lightening is controlled and white spots avoided, as destroying the layer entirely would seem to turn skin white. Also, if one is using hydroquinone, how long to wait before laser lightening?
