Thank you for your question in regards to laser tattoo removal. Yes, swelling, redness and tenderness are common post treatment reactions. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.
There can be redness, tenderness and swelling after laser tattoo removal treatment. I recommend following up with your practitioner for after care. Lasting redness can be improved with a combination of lasers (ProYellow, Excel V, Pulsed Dye). See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Yes it is totally normal to have pain and swelling 2-3 days after laser tattoo removal. You can have blisters too. Good luck! DSR
Two days is not a long time to have some residual swelling or redness. Everyone heals differently and as you go through treatments the technician is like changing the laser setting to give you a better result.if it persists more than a week i would go back and see the doctor and have it evaluated. If there are no breaks in the skin you can use some over the counter cortisone products that may reduce redness and swelling. Keep area clean and dry.Good luck
Hi,Great Question and sometimes it can take a week for swelling and tenderness to resolve.Recommend give your treatment provider a call, too, just to discuss concern. We always encourage our patients to call us with any concerns at any time. We don't want our patients to wait and worry and I don't think your provider would want that either.Take care and hope this is helpful,Dr. Amy
