I had 100 units of botox 50 for each armpit 3 weeks ago. I'm sweat a little less but I cannot say that it is a big change than before the botox. Also I have muscle pain in my shoulders and arms I sometimes feel it just to my fingertips. My muscles are also tender around the rib cage/ breast. Is this a possible side effect of botox?

Answer: Is it possible that Botox for underarm sweating does not work for some people?
Botox is a highly effective
and safe treatment for excessive sweating of the
armpits and palms (hyperhidrosis). Botox has been FDA approved and is an excellent
treatment to manage this condition. It will last approximately 4-6 months. This should be
done in the hands of a Board Certified Plastic...
I am so sorry that this is happening to you. I would suggest two thing: 1) try a Botox alternative like Dysport or Xeomin and 2) try a different surgeon/injector. Hope this helps, Dr. Nazarian
