The weight is only a few pounds. I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).Best,Dr. DesaiBeverly Hills Institute for Aesthetic Plastic SurgeryHarvard Educated, Beverly Hills & Miami Beach TrainedDouble Board-Certified, Double Fellowship-Trained Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon
Thanks for your question,Each implant will be around 1.90lbs for each side, both implants around 4 pounds. Good luck :)
Thank you for your question. 900 cc of saline weighs almost 2 pounds, so with the shell, you are probably at 2 pounds per breast. You should consider that an oversized implant like this is going to cause some problems for you, even if you think the weight is not bad. Women often present for breast reductions where less than 900 grams of tissue is removed for symptom relief. In addition, overfilling a 600 cc implant to 900 cc is not advised or condoned by the manufacturer and will place you at undue risk for complication and will void the implant warranty. See a local board certified plastic surgeon to discuss other options to reach your goals.Good luck and be safe!
900 cc's of saline is about 2 lbs. Saline implants have minimum and maximum recommended fill volumes. I don't know of any saline implants that have a range of 600-900 cc.
They will weight about 2 pounds each. This size of implants are not recommended any more due to the problems they present compelling the patient sooner or later to remove them for a less volume ones. Also I do not recommend saline implants to any one of my patients, there are much better implants in the market like the silicon cohesive gel texturized covered implants.Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)
Saline weighs slightly more than water. So your breast implants weigh the best part of 1kg each.
Saline weighs about 2.2 pounds per 1000cc. That calculates to very close to two pounds for each implant.
The shell itself weighs almost nothing, but the 900cc of saline is approximately 2 pounds. Most women with back, neck and shoulder pain from oversized breast will have between 500-700grams (similar to ccs) removed. So if you are adding 2 pounds to each breast, be aware of the ongoing symptoms of chronic pai and discomfort you will have to put up with as well as the thinning of the breasts which cannot be later corrected and the very hard feel of overfilled implants.
My best advice: more communication. It is definitely worth spending more time (prior to the date of surgery) with your plastic surgeon to discuss further. As you know, it will be important for many reasons, that you feel comfortable that you and your plastic surgeon are on the "same page" pri...
When considering the timing of cosmetic surgery, it is important to note that the longevity of the result is dependent upon your post op stability. Significant changes in weight can alter results. These changes are difficult to predict but they may require revisionary surgery. Thus, when...
The need for an "internal bra" is usually made after the implants have been placed. You may want to check with your surgeon and ask if some reinforcing sutures can be made at the base of the implant to avoid "bottoming out". Of course this would mean that you would have a...
