Would subcision or filler be an option to improve a surgery tethered scar on my lower abdomen? (Photos)

Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. Realistically, a 60-80% improvement in appearance can be anticipated from the use of subcision + filler to elevate and smooth a deeply indented scar, such as this. An in-person consultation to determine how distensible the scar is would be the most appropriate way of assessing the potential benefits of this approach. it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would benefit from subcision and dermal fillers or fat transfer. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.
