I have naturally tan skin and scar very dark. I don’t want scars from a breast reduction or lift. Is it possible to reduce the volume of my right breast using lipo to achieve more symmetric breasts? Also, is it possible to combine that procedure with implants? 28 y/o female, no kids
Answer: Liposuction For Breasts Liposuction of breast tissue is not a standard treatment. The breast has a very organized structure that is more fibrous than standard fat and is not really an area that should be directly liposuctioned. The best option for your asymmetry would be a breast lift (mastopexy) with potential breast implants if you are seeking more upper pole fullness or more volume in general. I would definitely make an appointment with a board-eligible or board-certified plastic surgeon with specialized training in aesthetic breast surgery.

Answer: A combination of augmentation and fat grafting can help you achieve your result I would recommend adding to the deficient side rather than removing fat from the larger side. If you are planning to combine this with a breast augmentation, fat grafting to the smaller side can help make the asymmetry slightly less so. The benefit of this is that you can achieve additional fullness in the upper pole and in the cleavage area.

Answer: Lipo for breast reduction Thank you for your question. The only way to reduce a breast is by doing a Breast Reduction. A breast reduction would require your Surgeon of choice to make incisions. I would recommend speaking with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person to evaluate you and discuss your options. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Treatments for Breast Asymmetry Thank you for your question about breast asymmetry. Liposuction is a procedure where fat cells are removed rather than tissue. Selecting the most appropriate breast implant size for breast augmentation is a personal decision that ultimately you have to make. An in-person consultation with implant sizing is best. It depends on your height, weight and breast base width diameter. To know what might be right for you, see two or more experienced, board-certified Plastic Surgeons for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have breast implant surgery. I hope this helps.

Answer: Breast 'reduction' Thank you for your question. Liposuction to some degree can reduce a breast but typically will not lift the breast. However, if you're asymmetry is secondary more to breast tissue and fatty tissue, liposuction wont provide much benefit. You're very young and I suspect that most of the difference is secondary to breast tissue and not fatty tissue. To confirm this, certainly you would need an examination by a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
