Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
I appreciate your question. ThermiTight is a procedure that works by delivering gentle radiofrequency heating into the deeper tissue via a small probe. The heat trigger more collagen production by the body, to smooth and firm skin from the inside out. Results occur over time, so no one will know you had a procedure unless you tell them. This is the procedure I use for patients looking for skin tightening without fat reduction, as it produces very natural, yet dramatic, results when performed correctly. Make sure the doctor you work with is board certified and has ample experience with the device you choose to ensure an optimal outcome.
Thank you for your question. I recommend a combination of procedures for optimal results. Thermismooth is noninvasive and is good for resurfacing fine lines, but ThermiTight can actually lift and tighten your neck and lower face. ThermiTight utilizes a small electrode inserted under the skin to heat tissue to a selected therapeutic temperature. Literature has shown that elevating skin to a therapeutic temperature level can contract collagen molecules and stimulate collagen production, which may give the appearance of lifting or tightening. Fat reduction is rare, unless set to high temperatures and kept at high temperatures for a significant amount of time . To best answer your question, it depends on how much skin laxity you have. ThermiTight can work well in the thigh area to tighten skin that is mild to moderately laxity. Surgery may be a better option, if you have excessive laxity. Results with ThermiTight vary from patient to patient. You should experience some overall improvement. In our center, I offer a procedure that we call ThermiSculpture. This combines some liposuction fat removal with ThermiTight. The radiofrequency probe is inserted into the same incisions that are used for the liposculpture. This combination removes fat, stimulates collagen, and tightens and lifts the skin. Consulting a board-certified plastic surgeon who knows how to effectively combine ThermiTight with liposuction will give you the most dramatic and long-lasting results The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery. Best of luck! Dr. Schwartz Board Certified Plastic Surgeon #RealSelf100Surgeon
Usually a combination approach is needed to get good results with skin tightening with Thermitight or Bodytite. I use Thermitight is a popular option, but I combine it with Vanquish and Exilis to get best outcomes. Non-surgical approaches give mild improvement compared to surgical lifting. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Hello and thank you for your question. ThermiTight and BodyTite both use radio frequency energy to firm and tighten the skin, however, the treatments do differ somewhat.ThermiTight works primarily by activating existing collagen in the skin, and encouraging the formation of new collagen. The increased collagen in the skin minimizes skin laxity and increases skin tone. BodyTite achieves the same goals as ThermiTight, but also eliminates fat.Which procedure will best meet your needs depends on several factors, including the present condition of your skin as well as the amount of skin tightening and fat reduction you desire.Depending on your needs and goals, your doctor may recommend performing multiple procedures in combination — including liposuction — to give you the best possible result.I hope this information helps. Thank you for your question. ThermiTight is a non-surgical, minimally invasive skin tightening treatment that uses a tiny probe to deliver radio frequency energy just beneath the surface of the skin. It’s best to get a in person evaluation from a board-certified dermatologist.
Thank you for your question. I have both ThermiTight and BodyTite. BodyTite has replaced ThermiTight as my go to treatment for skin tightening. The energy of BodyTite is directed to pass through the entire skin as the probe is bi-polar. One portion of the probe goes beneath the skin and the other portion goes on the surface of the skin. The bi-polar energy passes from the pole beneath the skin to the surface to effectively tighten the skin. The energy of ThermiTight is unipolar RF which it travels outward in all directions from the cannula inserted beneath the skin. While it can be directed toward the surface of the skin it is not as efficient at the BodyTite.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
