Can you do too many laser treatments? Is there a limit to how many times you can do laser treatments?

When  the texture or color of the skin does not return to normal, one must be careful with additional laser treatments. Your laser expert must balance this with your goals. They can determine if the treatment is within a reasonable risk-benefit profile. Good luck.

Lasers shouldnt cause you to get white or discoloration.  I suggest you see an expert and get on the right skin care and long term treatment treatment plan.  in our practice patients do stronger lasers every 3-4 months and light lasers, peels, microneedling monthly.For facial rejuvenation I would suggest a combination approach of :
1) skin care with products and PRP/microneedling
2) PDT light therapy few times a month with growth factors
3) laser treatments like clear and brilliant regularly and a few times a year Fraxel, Viva, Co2/Erbium
4) Sculptra injections a few times a year for collagen production with fillers like juvederm/restylane/belotero/radiesse/bellafill
5) thermage/ultherapy for yearly skin tightening with or without PDO or cone based instalift threads for lifting
6) botox every 2-3 months to stop movement lines and prevent lines at restBest, Dr. Emer.

Great question - there's actually long term research, following patients for 15 years and longer that if you do BBL 2-4 times a year, the skin actually ends up thicker with more collagen and less genetic damage than patients with less treatment. We have also followed patients who combine this with Halo 2-4 times per year and find that after 5-8 years, their skin is healthier and looks better as you can see in some long term maintenance pictures on our website. BBL and laser appear to work like exercise to keep skin healthy and vital.
