Hello Doctors, Some days my veins look very dark almost as if someone had drawn them on. Is this considered normal aging? I have no history of medical condions and do not smoke. As of the last 2 months I've been inactive and extremely stressed. Could this be the problem? I would hate to go to the GP for something minor. Thank you for your time!

It sounds like you may have a proximal issue impinging on the venous system like deep vein thrombosis. You need to be evaluated for both venous disease (blood clot) and neurologic disease via a nerve conduction study.Dr Karamanoukian
It is not likely that the numbness is related to a DVT.However, the prudent thing to do is to exclude DVT with Duplex venous scanning.Seek an ABVLM certified vein specialist.Dr. Karamanoukian
