I have a septoplasty this week and I partook in cocaine usage a week ago. Should I be worried or will enough time have passed?

It will have been 10 days since I used cocaine when my septoplasty scheduled. It was dumb and I haven't done it in years. This is NOT something I do anymore and I never plan to do it again, but I need to know if I should reschedule. The amount was probably 3 to 4 lines. Thank you.

It is absolutely normal to experience clear fluid release post-septoplasty procedure, as the process of serous drainage is occurring. Septoplasty sutures are typically tan or natural in color.  These usually dissolve on their own by in one to two weeks.  You may also have silastic septal splints that will need to be removed..  Their location varies, but are usually just inside the nostril behind the columella.

What you describe may be a symptom called globus.   This is usually caused by  larygophayngeal reflux,  or LPR.   It is very commom.   Have you discussed this with your ENT?
