Radiesse is a stimulatory filler that is an excellent option for patients who desire a longer-lasting filler alternative to hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. Radiesse is a semi-permanent injectable implant which is not completely reversible. Although it is not totally reversible, practitioners do have the ability to break down the product up to 80% with a combination approach of hylenex, kenalog, F5U saline, sterile water and sodium thiosulfate injections. These injections “break down” the Radiesse by separating and dispersing the particles, but not necessarily degrading them.
