Followup: Does kenalog only thin skin, or does it actually harm inner nasal cartilages & cartilage grafts if used incorrectly?

Kenalog is a great medication if used properly after rhinoplasty.  The proper placement of kenalog at the appropriate strength, location, and injection depth can help to decrease areas of swelling after surgery.  It should be performed by a surgeon who is experienced in rhinoplasty surgery to help avoid a complication. 

Do not use corticoid injections in a nose, much less after rhinoplasty, much much less after revisional rhinoplasty, much much much less if grafts of cartilage or other kind have been used.

The way to avoid any negative effects of Kenalog is to choose a very experienced surgeon who knows the effects of different strengths of Kenalog on different parts of the nose and where to place the Kenalog. You cannot figure this out by your self. Choose a very experienced surgeon who knows this and you should have no problem.
