Is it possible for a dentist to put a Ceres crown in backwards?

Question

Had a same day crown done today. It does not hurt. But it apprears smaller than my other teeth by it. Also the shape on the inside feels and looks like it should be the shape on the outside. I know It sounds strange but I almost think they might have put it in backwards. Is that even possible? If I’m unhappy with the crown can I ask them to make me a new one? And is it possible for a dentist to accidentally put a crown in backwards would it even fit?

It is nearly impossible for a crown to be put on backwards. It wouldn't seat down at all if it was backwards. Sometimes the part of the crown towards the tongue can feel a little bulky. If there's enough space, the bulk is added for strength of the crown. You don't want it too thin where you bite against it or it can break. If you're unhappy with the size or shape, speak to your dentist about it.

It could happen....it’s too small because your dentist or their staff did not design the crown to match other adjacent teeth or follow proper dental anatomy. Call your dental office and inquire a remake. If it’s something that you are absolute not pleased with, then it’s worth to bring it up to your dental office. I’d like my patients to share that with me if it were to be my patient.

No, it is not possible for the crown to have been placed backwards.
If you are unhappy with your crown, bring it to the attention of your dentist.  Dentists want to see their patients happy and your dentist might replace the crown for you.
