The back, which touches the roof of my mouth, seems to be lifting and the gap in the front, at the top of my teeth is exposed. I can feel air and whatever I drink going into the temporary crown and it produces a painful sensation. It is the weekend, and I travel for work every week, leaving this coming Monday. I left messages for my dentist, but haven’t heard back. I’m worried I shouldn’t plan to fly out for work Monday bc I will need to have this fixed. Thoughts?

Hi there,
Crowns are placed over root canal treated teeth to act as 'helmets', providing rigidity and structural integrity to teeth that have been effectively taxidermied to relieve infection and alleviate the need for extraction.
