Dear Jaimi in San Diego,I would have to examine you but it appears that this is a contour irregularity after liposuction. This happens often when areas the undergo liposuction are not feathered appropriately. The good news is that it can be fixed and I have done so with good results before. The revision can often be done under local as well. While there is always a chance for contour irregularities with liposuction, someone who takes their time and uses the appropriate sized cannulas should give you a superb result.I have all my patients wear compression garments and I use multiple sized cannulas to feather out the result.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
If you have enough fat in other parts of your body, some fat can be taken and grafted into those areas to help smooth fill and smooth out the dents. Revision liposuction of the rest of the abdomen will help smooth out your abdomen even further. If you have some loose skin as well, a mini-tummy tuck can help pull and tighten the skin so the dents are less visible. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MDBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon
