What is a better treatment for tightening jaw line and around eyes? Infini or Ulthera?

I have had both devices in my practice and both have had good results. With that said, we now only use the Infini device because of the superior results. The infini will give definition of the jawline, along with improve your skin texture and skin tone.

The great news is that we now have so many choices for non-surgical skin tightening, but how do you choose?  In my practice, both our Ulthera and Infini devices are going all day because they are both extremely effective skin tightening devices with no downtime.  For general contouring of the jawline in men, I typically recommend Ulthera.  The Ulthera procedure takes 45 minutes and has zero downtime, with gradual tightening and contouring noted progressively in 3, 6 and up to 12 months.  In women with crepey skin in the middle of the neck (where Ulthera is contraindicated), I use Infini radiofrequency microneedling, which typically requires 3-4 treatment sessions to achieve maximal improvement.  The undereye area is different, and may require tiny amounts of dermal filler if there is a hollow, and/or fractional ablative laser resurfacing to smooth the skin's surface and erase fine lines.  I recommend that you schedule a consultation with a board-certified dermatologist who has experience in these procedures.  Stay away from practices that have only one or two devices, and ask to see the practice's before and after photos.

There is a lot you can do to this area for contouring. I suggest you see an expert for a formal evaluation to determine if this is a volume issue, laxity issue, or fat reduction treatment.  Best, Dr. Emer.

In my opinion, Infini will give superior results on the jawline. It has the ability to direct energy to multiple levels and can remove some of the fat in the Jowl area. The side effect  of nerve injury on the jaw line has not been reported. The periorbital area can be treated adequately with both Infini and and Ulthera.  With both  devices, it's important to go to a specialist who has experience in performing the procedure. We have both systems in our practice and use both daily.  The decision to use one over the other is based on the need to treat superficial coarse skin, fine lines, laxity and scars vs laxity only..  If those are present, I tend to prefer Infini.  When the surface skin is acceptable, the skin is young enough to build good collagen I then tend to favor Ultherapy when the real focus is to tighten and smooth areas of facial skin.

Question! We offer both Ulthera and INFINI to our patients at Key Laser. So which to choose? Ulthera actually uses a
deeper energy, ultrasound, to tighten and lift. For a gentleman we would use a
double pass of the 4.5 mm depth energy on the lower face. You would walk out
and return to work. INFINI uses micro- needle delivered RF energy to tighten but not to the targeted depth of Ulthera. But unlike Ulthera, INFINI can improve
lines and wrinkles. It also does a great job on acne scars, but INFINIi does
have a recovery of several days.

For
around eyes, I would choose neither Ulthera nor INFINI, but ThermiSmooth RF for
tightening.

In theory and in our practice we have seen a better response from Infini. It appears that the energy is placed more accurately where you desire it.
