Is there such a thing as "scientifically perfect" breasts? If so, what are the deciding factors — size, proportions, both? If someone is considering implants or a breast lift, what can one ask their surgeon for in order to ensure the most attractive result?

factors including position of the breast on the chest wall, symmetry,
projection, cleavage, nipple position, areola size, skin tone and volume.There is no “scientifically perfect” breast
and each woman decides what she considers perfect.If you are happy with the volume of your
breasts in a bra then you do not need implants.If you are unhappy with the volume then you will need augmentation.If you do not like the appearance of your

There is no such thing as "scientifically perfect breasts" No two breasts are identical. I always tell my patients breasts will always be sisters but never twins. Dear madam,   Such a concept , does not exist, however there are few elements that surgeons and patients strive to,  in order to achieve attractive breasts : 1. Nipples should be above the IMF (infra mammary crease ) between 7 - 11 cm ( according to breasts size). 2. The distance between the nipples should be close to the distance betweem the sternal notch and the nipples, creating equidistant triangle. 3. Soft and mobile breasts. Displacement massage is critical to achieve this goal as well as diet that reduces blood thining that can cause capsule contracture. 4. natural slope of upper pole. 5. nice cleavage. careful dissection is importants. 6. the ideal size according to some studies is a C cup, however , ethnic back ground and culture determined the desired size. In my practice the most popular size is full C cup. 7. Scar location should be the least noticable. In my opinion, the sub areola is the best option because it is scar friendly and allows the surgeon to create the cleavage under direct vision and fingers feel. 8. Implant's type varies between -  Saline, silicone gel and cohesive gel ( gummy bear ). In my opinion saline option is the best for too many reasons to discuss at this tome. 9. pocket location - sub glandular ( on top of the muscle) or sub muscular. The 2nd option is superior because of better tissue coverage of implants and higher percentage of nipple sensation maintenance. As you can see , your question is quite complex and you have to do your due diligence. Always, consult with board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after picture to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive. Check also the 'reakself' reviews for positive patients experience which provides important information on the surgeons. There is no such thing as "scientifically perfect breasts", because each woman has a different body type. What works on one woman will look terrible on another. While there are features that make a breast aesthetically pleasing, what is considered "aesthetically pleasing" can also be very subjective. Most women prefer the natural look after breast augmentation, while others prefer the round, obviously enhanced look. That's why you should consider your own measurements and body type, and expectations to determine what would be most pleasing for you.I use a technique known as Dimensional Breast Augmentation. This involves taking a variety of measurements of your pre-surgery body, such as your height, breast width, weight, etc. Then, we discuss your goals and with this information, a suitable implant size is selected. Find out if your surgeon does this for you.

The perfect breast augmentation is a very complex combination of skill and scientific knowledge. If a breast lift is performed at the same time then throw a little bit of art into that equation as well. The more experienced and knowledgeable the surgeon typically the better the result.If you see the correct the surgeon in consultation you really shouldn't need to ask them anything other than, "What do you think will give me the best outcome?". From that question the plastic surgeon should be able to explain to you the procedure(s) that best fit your individual needs.Please remember that even a straightforward breast augmentation can have unexpected outcomes even when performed by the most skillful and qualified surgeon.  This is simply because there is no such thing as "perfect science" in medicine.  There are always variables that neither you or the surgeon can control for. The idea is to try to minimize these variables and "risks" as low as possible.Minimizing these risks comes through very careful and thorough screening of your surgeon. A surgeon (or any physician for that matter) can say anything they want on a radio add, magazine add, or on a billboard to advertise their qualifications. Unfortunately some physicians take this to an extreme and even go as far as misleading the viewer and fabricating or stretching the truth. At the end of the day, however, the PATIENTS will tell you the truth about the physician and the care they have received. Plastic surgery is both an art form and inexact science and hence there is no "scientific perfect breast" especially as beauty is in the eye of the beholder (not necessarily the surgeon who is your instrument to achieve your desired appearance. There is no single accepted standard for attractive breasts.  However symmetry and proportion to the rest of you body are the key to good results.  If you are looking for perfection its probably best that you avoid surgery altogether.  While surgeons often aim for perfection in surgery, there is no guarantee of this.   The best way to ensure a great result is to seek a professional who is Board Certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery, who has good communication skills to understand your goals, and who has examples of their work to show you. There really isn't such a thing as the perfect set of breasts because no one has perfectly symmetrical breasts and everyone has different expectations...it's very subjective.  Start looking at photos and look for women who start off with similar looking breasts to yours and if you see their after photo, it can give you an idea of what yours could be like and you can begin narrowing your likes and dislikes from there. "Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder." Each women is unique, and each women has a range of size that would "ideal" on her. Each culture also has a different view of what is attractive. Some prefer the small high perky breasts, and some prefer the large voluptuous breasts. Also, humans are not perfect beings. During your consultation, you can try on a variety of sizes and see what looks best on your body type. You might want to search websites and look at photos and see what you like best.

I do not think so. Each and every patient is different. I think what is important is to convey your goals clearly with your surgeon and make sure that you are both on the same page about how to best achieve those goals. Nobody has perfectly symmetrical breasts.
