Face is sagging 6 months after Botox to the masseter - will this even out in more time? (photo)

Hello, the procedure was done January 3rd 2023. After 1 week I noticed that the right side was sagging and my smile uneven. I went back and was told it would return to normal in a few months. It’s almost 6 months and nothing has changed. Will this even out with more time?

The results from Botox last anywhere between 2-6 months; the average result lasts about 3-4 months. Botox eventually stop working. Your body makes new neurotransmitters all the time, so the “blocking” effect of Botox gradually wears off as these chemicals start circulating in your body again. Those with a high metabolism might metabolize Botox faster. Your activity level – If you are active and hit the gym frequently, you may notice your Botox wearing off quicker than someone who isn't quite as active.Most patients have is not seeing results within the same timeframe as their first treatments. In general, this is not a cause for concern as Botox may simply need more time to take effect the second time around.

Botox typically lasts 3-4 months for on average. Occasionally it can last longer for some people. If you are at the timeline of 6 months post injection with an unwanted affect, then I'm sure it will begin to settle for you very soon. The effects of Botox are temporary.  Though most patients notice the product lasting 3 to 4 months, it may be a little longer for others.  Without more information it is difficult to say why this may have occurred for you.  Sagging skin can be addressed a variety of ways including HA fillers and Morpheus8 treatments.
