I have lines on my mouth, and they aren't that noticeable in the front. I'm only 23 so I'm not sure why I have this shadowing causing the appearance of looking older

Heaviness in the cheeks can pull downward causing this, and regardless of the cause it can be an easy fix. You could try dermal fillers to smooth the line out or you could opt for a laser or RF microneedling to help boost collagen in the area above the lines to pull the entire area upward.
