32F with round eyes and often get told I look tired. I believe this is because of my eyelids looking so exposed and giving me a hollow look. Are there any options (surgical or not) I could take to make them more almond and/or more elongated?
Answer: Options for Reducing Upper Eyelid Exposure and Achieving an Almond Eye Shape Thank you for your question and for sharing your concern. There are several options, both surgical and non-surgical, to address upper eyelid exposure and achieve a more refreshed appearance: Non-Surgical Options: Botox: Botox can be used to relax specific muscles around the eyes, which may help in altering the shape and position of the eyelids to some extent. Dermal Fillers: Fillers can be used to add volume to the hollow areas around the eyes, reducing the tired look and giving a more youthful appearance. Topical Treatments: Certain topical treatments and eye creams can help improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of hollowness. Surgical Options: Blepharoplasty: Upper eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, can remove excess skin and fat, and reposition the eyelids for a more almond-shaped appearance. Canthoplasty or Canthopexy: These procedures involve tightening or repositioning the outer corner of the eyelids to create a more elongated eye shape. Fat Transfer: Fat can be transferred from another part of your body to the upper eyelids to add volume and reduce the hollow look. Consultation: It's important to have a detailed consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon or a dermatologist who specializes in cosmetic procedures. They can assess your specific anatomy and recommend the most suitable options for you. In summary, there are several ways to address upper eyelid exposure and achieve a more almond-shaped eye appearance. Consulting with a specialist will help you determine the best approach for your individual needs. Best regards,

Answer: Upper eyelid position Thank you for the photos and your question. Based on your photo, it does not appear that you have hollowing of your upper eyelids but it is more of a problem of the position of your upper eyelids, called ptosis. To address this, I recommend ptosis repair surgery. A canthopexy procedure can help achieve a more almond-shaped, elongated look to your eyes. Additionally, fat grafting to the under areas can help soften deep tear troughs, which can contribute to a tired appearance. The best way to determine the most optimal procedure for you is to schedule an in-person consultation with an experienced facial plastic surgeon. Best of luck!

Answer: Canthopexy This is a procedure to reposition the outer corner of the eye. When done properly, it can reduce the amount of white that is visible below the pupil. When done properly or on the wrong patient, it can actually worsen the situation, so find someone who is experienced in cosmetic eyelid surgery.
