Scar Revision Helpful for my Scar? I've had Pico4 laser but no results.

Question

I have a scar caused when I was a child, about 22 years ago, after falling into a glass dining table and had to receive stiches. Procedure wasn't done so well and once stitches were removed still can see where they were. I've had 2 pico4 laser treatments but not result I was seeking. Usually looks better right after treatment but when swelling goes down scar looks same as before. Would scar revision be any real benefit or help to my scar? What would? Thank you in advance!

Yes, you should seek out another opinion. There are may ways to improve a scar. It could be a color mismatch, contours change or both. Sincerely, Dr K

I see improvement in your after photos. Keep in mind, these types of scars require a combination approach and will need a series of treatments to get improvement. I recommend lasers, microneedling/prp, subcision and fillers. See a facial scarring expert for a formal evaluation. Typically tho the best treatment is a scar revision followed by laser which I think is what you need in this case but a formal inpersonal consultation is needed. Best, Dr. Emer
