Is it possible to reverse male laser hair removal?

I received about 12 sessions of laser hair removal on my male facial hair. My last session was 7 months ago, and I only grow a few hairs on my face. Can I expect more hair to grow back in the upcoming years? Are the follicles removed, or just damaged? I deeply regret the laser, since I was only 17 when I first started. Thanks for the help.

The follicles may be dead after many sessions of hair removal.  You can try PRP injections to see if you can active the follicles that may be damaged.  But the goal of laser hair removal is to kill the hair follicle.   Best of luck!

You may need transplantation to give your hair back a full look.  I suggest posting photos or seeing you physician.  Hair loss/reduction from laser removal or electrolysis is typically permanent.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Over time you will start to grow hair in the area you had treated.  It may take a few years to get back to where it was before the treatments.  I find males have their hair grow back faster than females.

The follicles are scarred and the hair stem cells are injured/killed. You can try PRP and nanofat with SVF to try to stimulate the hair follicles. If this doesn't improve things over a few treatments, hair transplant can be done. Make sure you receive high concentration PRP, hopefully close to 6x. Most people use 2-3x and results aren't nearly as good.
