I am a 43 year old mother of 4. I used to have a slight incontinence issue, and it is now completely resolved - I can laugh or sneeze in public without feeling like I am going to pee on myself and I do not have to rush to the bathroom every morning in fear of not making it in time. Over time you will start to grow hair in the area you had treated. It may take a few years to get back to where it was before the treatments. I find males have their hair grow back faster than females.
Due to inflammation after any laser treatment there are times the pores/scars may appear worse. However it may also be to over use of product post treatment. We always recommend our patients to call our office with any concerns and to make an appt. to be checked if needed. Typical results will be seen in 4-8 weeks post Halo or any fractionated laser treatment. Make sure you aren't over using products and gently cleanse the skin. Give it time to heal and you will have a great halo glow!
The best thing to do would be to consult the office you had the Halo treatment done with to let them know how your skin is healing and with any questions regarding treatment. Depending on how long it has been after Halo you can start using hydroquinone creams to help lighten the hyperpigmentation or otherwise known as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation Many times caused from the heat from laser treatments. Good news is that its not permanent and can be fixed. Hope this helps!
Its typically normal to be red after the Halo treatment. For post Halo you should have been given some sort of post care with a moisturizer or ointment to aid in healing as well as protecting the fresh skin. I would suggest contacting your provider to make sure there isn't anything else you should be applying. Happy healing :)
It is best not to treat real moles or nevi at home. A trained professional needs to help decide if the lesion is cancerous or not. Most moles are removed by shave removal and sent to the lab for pathology to prove if they are benign or not. Even if a mole is removed by a Dermatologist, it is not always permanent as some grow back over time.
