Is it okay to use Picoway Resolve on one specific sunspot on my upper cheek versus my whole face? Will it cause something like uneven skin tone, or be fine? I'm thinking about just using it for the spot, and then using Clear and Brilliant for the rest of my face after it's healed. I'm almost 31 and white (half Jewish), if it matters. Thanks!
Answer: Pico Way Resolve Fractional Laser for brown spots Hi, Great question. Depending on your skin type on the Fitzpatrick Scale from I - VI you may be a good candidate to treat that spot with Pico Way. A better choice would be to use the Zoom handpiece to spot treat and pick the appropriate and safe wavelength based on your skin type. Warmer skin types may be safe to use the nD:YAG 1064nm wavelength on the Pico Way, while fair skinned patients can use the 532nm wavelength which specific targets pigment. Hope that helps!

Answer: Hyperpigmentation--Clear+Brilliant/Venus Viva, emeragecosmetics Cosmelan/Enlighten/AERIFY peel, Aerolase, Reveskin bleaching skincare and at home peels like Cosmelan or enlighten will treat this (see link). Fraxel, halo, clear and brilliant work great to prevent long term ( I seee a lot of sun damage on your face not just that one spot so you NEED full face treatment). TCA to individual spot can help. this is post inflammatory hyperpigmentation/melasma/discoloration that needs cosmelan or enlighten peels at home which we can do virtually and send to your home along with aerify peels regularly, vivatia foam, restorsea 10x, faith essence serum, and cosmelan 2 cream. Hyperpigmentation from any type needs a combination approach of peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify, lasers like clear and brilliant and aerolase or laser genesis, radiofrequency like venus viva, and constant skin care and sun protection. Bimonthly facials with silk peel dermalinfusion is essential to hydrate, exfoliate and infuse vitamins and antioxidants into the skin. If you have acne you can do additional treatments and peels to get more improvement. I suggest a formal consultation with an expert in lasers and peels. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Simple & Inexpensive TCA 25-35% Works Well For Fading Solar Lentigines By sheer coincidence, I treated a patient this morning with a "sunspot" (solar lentigo) in the exact location under the eye (under his left eye). I used a tried and true chemical, TCA 35%, for this purpose. I similarly treated five solar lentigines on my own face this past March. TCA has been used successfully for this purpose in concentrations varying from 25%-35% for decades. The treatment may not be "bells and whistles" lasers, but has proven itself and inexpensive and very effective approach to treating solar lentigines. My suggestion: think simple and proven and go with what the doctor would use for himself or his family. Best of luck.

Answer: Picoway Hello, it is possible to spot treat with the picoway laser. They may use a different hand piece than the resolve hand piece. Generally we recommend treating the entire face however since it will give you a better more even result.
