I know a laser is used during laser lipo; but will it effect the skin in anyway ?
Answer: Laser liposuction and Isotretinoin Isotretinion treatment by itself does not preclude a patient from laser liposuction. However, Isotretinoin is processed by liver enzymes that also process lidocaine. Great caution should be exercised in doing liposuction with medications that could interfere with liodcaine metabolism; the potential for lidocaine toxicity is higher. Patients off of isotretinoin for a month would not be at risk. If liposuction is to be done, while on accutane; only small areas should be done to limit the amount of lidocaine used. Consult with an expert in liposuction and discuss the issue openly.

Answer: VASER Hi Definition Liposuction / Body Contouring with Fat Grafting on Accutane/Isotretinoin I treat many patients weekly on or just recently off isotretionin. there is no reason you cannot have this procedure. I suggest ultrasound over laser and specifically a hi definition procedure -- the results are just better with somoene who is well trained. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Liposuction Accutane is generally a contraindication for sugery. However, liposuction is a procedure which could be done given the very small incision. Make sure to discuss this with your treating dermatologist and plastic surgeon.
