I want to have a lip lift done along with a rhinoplasty. I had a rhinoplasty before around 2014 just to remove a ‘dorsal hump’, however I still feel like my nose is too big. Can the lip lift and rhinoplasty be done together?

Answer: From what I can see in the photos, both procedures can be performed together. From what I can see in the photos, both procedures can be performed together. Lip lift and rhinoplasty are complementary procedures that target the same areas, so they can usually be done simultaneously. The lip lift is performed with small incisions around the upper lip, which do not interfere with the internal incisions made during rhinoplasty. Combining both procedures can shorten the recovery time and make the process more efficient. However, to ensure the best and safest outcome, a physical examination for a more detailed assessment would be ideal.

In my own experience I have had no problems with these procedures being combined, and beyond that there is good evidence in the literature that this is safe.

This is a really great combination of procedures that I perform in my practice. The best part is that patients only have one period of downtime and one bout of anesthesia. Not every surgeon performs lip lifts and there are many different techniques and aesthetics, so I would seek out someone who has the aesthetic you desire. Good luck with your surgery!

Answer: No I don’t prefer to do it at the same time because nose bleeds, fluid will flow and this will effect the lip lift incision
