Question

I have hard, raised bumps on my chin and notice that they are also on other parts of my face. I had terrible acne into my early 30s and ended up doing acutane which was a miracle drug for my skin. I feel that they are more noticeable as I have gotten older. 51 year old female with fair skin.

It needs to be evaluated in person. This may represent scar tissue which could be treated with pulse dye laser.

Thank you for your question. It is difficult to diagnose your lesions via a photograph because a provider needs to be able to see and feel your skin to better assess and diagnose the lesions. With that being said, the bumps on your chin may be acne or possible scarring due to your history of severe acne in the past. I highly recommend you consult with a board certified dermatologist regarding your concerns and for an evaluation of the lesions on your chin. Take care and good luck.
